Ownership: QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited issues policies under the QBE name and is part of the Sydney-based QBE Insurance Group. In the last 3 years it stopped being the underwriter for new Kogan Insurance policies (Allianz took over from 16 June 2025), and Australia Post stopped selling new QBE-underwritten car and home policies from 1 September 2025.
QBE Australia is the Australian general insurance business of the QBE group. It sells personal cover such as car, home and contents, landlord and travel insurance, plus CTP and a wide range of business insurance, both directly and through brokers and partners.

QBE has also acted as the underwriter behind other brands. Australia Post car, home, contents and landlord insurance was issued by QBE, but Australia Post stopped offering new policies from 1 September 2025. As at October 2026, the Everyday Insurance website still names QBE for its CTP green slip product.
